Working out and nutrition go hand in hand, in fact, nutrition is just as important as exercise. In my opinion, nutrition is 80% of the overall equation. Failing to be educated and up to date on the importance of nutrition, and failing to incorporate it into your everyday life will put you at a greater risk of disease and the decomposition of the body, mind, and spirit. Furthermore, no matter how hard you train, if your eating is very poor all of the the hard work you have put into your training won't be evident.

Nutrition and exercise are tools that allow your body to run like a finely tuned race car, and enable you to reach your maximum potential physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, socially, and intellectually. You would likely keep your race car in tip top shape by tuning it up regularly, as well as filling it with top of the line fuel. The same principles apply to the human body. Your body is your temple and is the only one you will ever have. Everything that you will experience in life, both the good and the bad, will take place in this one body. Therefore, why not invest in your body and give yourself the best chance at succeeding in your given sport, or simply in every day life by fueling your body with food that is high in nutrients, and by staying in great shape? Nutrition and exercise are crucial tools that will help you live your life to the fullest, as well as bolster your immune system, and make you less prone to injury.

I offer many different nutrition programs that will help you reach your unique goals. Each program is individualized so it will meet your personal needs, lifestyle, and food preferences. To view the many programs I offer, visit my website. http://catalystpersonaltraining.weebly.com

Great article Meghan,
I entirely agree about the importance of diet AND exercise. Nutrition is vital and we need much more info I am glad you mentioned the spiritual aspect too. That is a rarity amongst authors of Health and Fitness. Great.
